Students will be performing rigid transformations of a point. After performing the transformations, they will connect the new points to form a mystery picture (ice cream cone).
This activity includes the following transformations:
- Rotations 90 degrees clockwise about the origin
- Rotations 90 degrees counterclockwise about the origin
- Rotations 180 degrees clockwise about the origin
- Rotations 180 degrees counterclockwise about the origin
- Reflections over the x-axis
- Reflections over the y-axis
- Reflections over the line y = x
- Reflections over a horizontal line (example y = -1)
- Reflections over a vertical line (example x = 2)
- Translations
