Students will be solving 15 multi-digit multiplication problems in order to help me solve who stole my Halloween candy, what weapon was used, and the location it took place. The list of suspects are: Frankenstein, Witch, Mummy, Vampire, Zombie, and Skeleton. The possible weapons used are: Potion, Spooky Bar, Poisoned Apple, Black Widow Cupcake, Spooky Caramel Apple, and Years Old Candy. The locations are: Spiderweb Central, Haunted House, Spooky St, Slime Ave, Haunted Library, and Graveyard.

This activity is great because it also helps with self-assessing. If students do not see their answer on one of the cutouts, then they know that they need to check their multiplication.
