### Math Resources for Thanksgiving

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is coming up so fast!  Not only do I love the holiday season, but I love creating resources that go with holidays!  I have compiled all 8 of my math Thanksgiving resources below!

This activity is my most popular Thanksgiving resource!  This is a great activity for students learning about slope. Students will plot given points on a graph, determine the slope between two points, color the resulting figures from the graph, and reflect upon what they learned from this activity.

I love love LOVE this activity!  This activity is one of my favorites because it gives students some perspective of the real world.  Students will be determining the total cost of having a Thanksgiving dinner. Students will calculate the unit price of 8 Thanksgiving food items to determine the best buy. After students determine the best buy, they will calculate the total cost that they are spending on their Thanksgiving dinner. This is a perfect activity for any class learning about unit rates and is great individually or in groups of 2.

This is my newest Thanksgiving resource.  My coloring worksheets have been pretty popular, and this is no exception!  Students will be calculating the better buy for eight Thanksgiving food items. They will use the unit price to color a mystery picture. Students will also calculate how much money they will be spending in total for their Thanksgiving dinner.
Your students will love working in small groups on this coloring worksheet. Students will need crayons, markers, or colored pencils.

This is my second most popular Thanksgiving resource.  Students will be using the slope formula to determine what Henry ate for his Thanksgiving dinner. Included is 12 task cards that can be laminated and used for many years.

This is a fun Thanksgiving mystery activity where students will be determining which Thanksgiving plate is the "missing plate". Students will be solving 10 problems on multi-step equations. After solving the problems, students will be able to self assess themselves by bubbling in their answers. Students will look at the answers not bubbled in to determine the food items that were on my plate.

I have created many hidden message worksheets, and was asked to create some for Thanksgiving.  Hence, this worksheet was created!  Students will be solving 16 problems on two-step equations. After solving the problems, students will bubble in circles to reveal the hidden message "GIVE THANKS". This is a great worksheet for practice!

This resource has the same hidden message as #6 but is on slope.  Students will be solving 16 problems on slope given two points. After solving the problems, students will bubble in circles to reveal the hidden message "GIVE THANKS". This is a great worksheet for practice!

This is a great activity for any grade level learning the Pythagorean Theorem. Students will be using the Pythagorean Theorem to determine distances between two points on a coordinate plane.

That's all of my Thanksgiving activities.  Make sure to be on the lookout for a post about all of my Christmas activities!
