Students will be solving 16 problems on volume and surface area. The three-dimensional figures include a cone, cube, cylinder, sphere, rectangular prism, rectangular pyramid, triangular prism, and an isosceles triangular prism. Students will then color in their answer to reveal a mystery picture.
This is great practice for any class learning how to solve problems involving volume and surface area because it also allows students to self assess themselves. If their answer is not in the mystery picture, then they know that they need to go back and check their answer.
Also included is a formula cheat sheet that includes all of the volume and surface area formulas for the three-dimensional figures.
You can have students use this cheat sheet to help them calculate the volume and surface area. The cheat sheet looks great in interactive notebooks.
