7th Grade Math Homework

I am currently working on an entire years worth of homework for 7th grade math.  Right now I have finished Number Sense (7.NS) and am starting Proportional Relationships (7.RP).

My Number Sense Homework

Included is 8 homework pages for the 7th grade math standard Number Sense (7.NS). Each page has 5 problems. The breakdown of the 8 pages is given below:

Page 1 - Locating rational numbers on the number line
Page 2 - Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing rational numbers using a number line.
Page 3 - Adding and subtracting integers
Page 4 - Adding and subtracting decimals
Page 5 - Adding and subtracting fractions
Page 6 - Adding and subtracting fractions with mixed numbers
Page 7 - Multiplying fractions
Page 8 - Dividing fractions

Each page has a spot for students to circle the due date determining if the assignment is due Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. In addition, there is a spot to write the score.

Math Classroom Decorations

I am so excited to show you my classroom!  This is the first time that I actually feel like my classroom is coming together very well.  Last school year I was 8 months pregnant and wasn't in the mood to decorate my classroom at all!  This year I researched a lot on Pinterest and found some pretty cool ideas.  I have incorporated these ideas in my classroom.  Check out my pictures below!

The agenda, standard, objective, and homework are posted on the whiteboard every day.

I have colored paper around my classroom to catch student's eyes.

I used painters tape that I bought from Wal-Mart.  The lettering is from Hobby Lobby.  I love the organization!

Students always know what they are going to be doing for the day!

I post starter sentences around the classroom in colored paper.

I LOVE my date!!! Last year I always wrote it on the board.  I bought this from Target and I absolutely love how easy it is to change the date!  Also, I can use it year after year!!!

I love my hanging folders.  There is an emergency sub folder, fire drill folder, discipline folder, class roster folder, and seating chart folder.  This keeps me extremely organized!

I bought these bathroom passes from Hobby Lobby.

I post my students' grades by id number so that they are informed of their current grade and any missing assignments.

I always make sure to keep my daughter's close to me even at work!

That's my husband!!! I couldn't have decorated my classroom without him!

I will be hanging up little cars with student pictures on them throughout the year.  I am going to hang up some colleges and roads showing which college's my students are going to attend.

Students love my wanted sign! I purchased it from Professor Toys.

I love my "What stuck with you?"  I saw this idea online and knew that it would be perfect in my classroom!

More starter sentences!

This is the coolest idea and I am so glad that I saw it on Pinterest!

I laminated my sign after putting post-its representing my seating chart.  I have my students in rows (1-6).  My students know exactly where to put their post-it by their seating chart.  For example, a student in my student row and very front of the classroom is in Row 3 Seat 1.  They would put their post-it over the laminated number.

I read the post-its to see what my students' learned for the day.

This poster allows me to get instant feedback!

I LOVE how I organized my materials.  I bought this organizer at Lowes.

High School students are glued to their cell phones!  They are always asking to charge their cell phones in my classroom.  I got tired of being asked by students so I have placed signs by my outlets.  It has worked wonders!

I have the math practices posted in the back of the classroom.

I have students look at the calendars in the back of the classroom to see what they missed if they were absent.

Math Interactive Notebook - Algebra
